The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the academic year 2014–15 with an approved intake of 60 students. The programme is designed to provide a strong academic foundation in civil engineering principles while addressing the emerging needs of the industry and society. The curriculum, structured in accordance with Anna University regulations, encompasses core areas such as Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Construction Technology. Emphasis is placed on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications through well-equipped laboratories and industry-oriented learning. With qualified faculty members possessing academic and industrial expertise, the department fosters an environment that promotes technical competence, innovation, and professional excellence, preparing graduates to meet the challenges of higher education, research, and the engineering profession.
